Help the Ecorse Public Library encourage bikeability and bike safety in the Downriver community.

At this time, Ecorse does not have any bike racks available to the public. Our library is in a high-traffic area, and next to a frequently used bike lane. We want to encourage our library users to bike to our library, and feel that their bikes will be safe on site, so offering bike racks on the library grounds would certainly encourage users to visit us, and use their bicycles around the city, and use the library while doing so!

We anticipate that we will have more visitors to the library, and that bike use will continue to increase in our city once riders have a safe place to leave their bicycles! We plan to offer bike locks to our library patrons, so that they can lock their bikes on any bike racks even if they do not own a lock. We also plan on having information sessions on bicycle safety, and the importance of knowing the rules of the road and helmet use.
