Help Kids Repair Program refurbish donated bikes, offer free bike tune ups, and teach people how to repair their bikes.

Kids Repair Program bikes are donated from various sources, like police departments, the public bus system, a local large township recycling center, for profit bike stores that take bikes on trade ins, apartment complexes and private donors.

To be able to offer bikes to youth that attend the education camp session, most donated bikes take parts to do needed refurbishing. KRP also donates bikes to community events for free and do free Tune Ups in low income areas of south Lansing and two low income apartment complexes that have hundreds of kids in them. Due to Covid, parts are hard to come by, costing more and volunteers are recycling and saving what parts can be saved.
